This whole idea of a blog started brewing in my head many months ago but it took a trip to Miami, Florida to visit my dear friend of 15 years to finally move forward with it.

During our catching up, we realized how much we have grown since we met and how the things that used to interest us are irrelevant now.  We talked about our views on relationships, friendships, fashion, music, and the compromises we are willing or not willing to make.  We shared our expectations, our desire to grow, and our dreams.  Because no matter how old we are, we are still looking for answers and validations.  Validations that we are not the only ones thinking certain thoughts and that it’s OK to still have desires, wants and needs.

My friend gave me the gentle nudge and a good dose of confidence to go ahead and follow my dream of starting my own blog.  I loved the idea of actually inviting women into a conversation…. and that is how Let’s Talk Forties and Beyond was born.

So here I am… I hope you give me a chance and go with me on this adventure.  I hope we form a relationship where we’ll raise each other up.  Ladies, let’s talk about what interests us at this stage of our lives.  Let’s share our experiences and laugh and cry together.  Any input is welcome, so Let’s talk forties and beyond!
