Let’s talk neutrals…
There is something I always loved about neutrals. They are classy, easy to put together, and timeless. That is one of the reasons why I am such a big fan of Banana Republic. Their neutral autumn pieces are stunning and the utilitarian, but still feminine, style works beautifully.
Here are just a few pieces that every woman over forty should have in her closet this fall:
Silk pants or skirt
You can mix them with a simple tee in the warmer months or with a chunky knit sweater and a blazer in the colder months.
Neutral suit
Tan, beige, or white suit is such a classic and can be dressed down with white sneakers or dressed up with high heels. You can also pair your blazer with jeans or your dressy pants with a simple tee or a cardigan. The possibilities are just endless.
Military style jacket
There are a few closet staples that can be as versatile as a green or khaki military style jacket. Jeans, white tee, maxi or midi skirt, neutral cargo pants and tee…you name it, they all pair very well with this type of jacket.
Tan/Camel top or dress
A very few colors are as complimentary to any skin color as tan/camel color. This color is super elegant, so don’t be afraid to add it to your wardrobe.
Statement tan belt
It’s like putting the crown on an outfit! The perfect belt completes any look, whether it’s a dressy suit, dress, or a casual jeans and white tee look.
Below I’m linking some of my favorites for this season. I hope you find this guide helpful and will add some of these items to your closet this autumn!
